Short Description

Ring-Out Rumble! is a casualized 3D Arena-Fighter playable in local 1v1, in which you win by launching up your opponent out of the ring. There is a roaster of differents characters, each one with it's own gamestyle which will allow the player to hopefully find the one fitting to his playstyle
The game revolves around the launching mechanic : the more a player takes damages the more percents will racks up. If so, your opponent will then have an opportunity to "ring you out", with a slower, but more powerful blow, which are heavy attacks. The more percents you got, the stronger the launch you will receive if you get hit

About this project

Ring Out-Rumble was the student project I worked on. It was a 8 months project which purpose was originally to validate our Bachelor degree. However, it was a very challenging project that we became extremely proud of, as it developed.

We're very happy that the game we delivered on time was both fun and playable, and hope people enjoyed it as much as we did.

I was in charge of the game design gameplay and I've also programmed everything about combat mechanics, animations logic and player states, gameplay systems such as player health, combo system, attacks feedbacks, and physics-based launching which was the key mechanic to defeat your opponent and win a game.

This is the project that convinced us to continue developing games, and it may one day have a second edition.

It is based on the original concept of
Alexandre Battini who headed
the project, and it is inspired by both major and minor titles of the Arena-Fighter games genre.
